Contract Support Specialist

Who You Are:

Versar Global Solutions is currently initiating a search for a full-time Contract Support Specialist of Infrastructure Asset Maintenance serving in a critical administrative role in the project management team supporting the Central Florida Expressway Authority.  The Contract Support Specialist, reporting to the Project Manager, is responsible for implementing controls and providing resourcing for the project’s adherence to the performance-based contract with an MRP component on behalf of VGS for Maintenance Services. The position is in Ocoee, Florida.

What You’ll Do:

The Contract Support Specialist is responsible for assisting the Project Manager with the following:

Submittal of daily/weekly reports / logsAlignment and compliance with CFX policies and proceduresOngoing compliance with the approved CFX and applicable Federal and State programsDevelopment, maintenance, and management of Versar Global Solutions’ Customer Service Response programManagement of insurance recovery claims (3rd party)Perform quarterly field Maintenance Rating Program (MRP) inspections, by random sampling, and compile results for Superintendent’s review and action in cooperation with the Quality Control ManagerManage Structure Work Order (bridges and signs) preparation and attend the Feasible Action Review Committee (FARC) Meetings for issued work orders; Review processes and documents to ensure compliance with required procedures for timely close out in cooperation with the Quality Control ManagerManage Lighting Work Order (time and materials) preparation and attend any/all meetings for issued work orders; Review processes and documents to ensure compliance with required procedures for timely close out in cooperation with the Licensed Journeyman ElectricianIdentification, development, review, and enforcement of DBE requirementsSupervises and coordinates the selection process of subcontractors and other professional consultants in accordance with VGS policies and procedures and CFX/FDOT contract requirementsMust be proficient in data entry in data management programsMust be capable of learning and maintaining an internet web-based application for maintenance activity records and managementPerform status reporting and record archiving in accordance with the contract requirements, maintain document controls, and provide quality control in VGS’ administrative functionsResponsible for adopting supplemental agreements into the primary contract and executing all additional contractual requirements Responsible for tracking of subcontractor records and reporting data to ensure contract complianceResponsible for compiling of data/reports from subcontractors for the monthly invoice to the clientReviews project’s scope, schedules, and budgets as part of business operations to develop appropriate resourcing and cost valuesPrepares preliminary and final recommendations, as well as negotiated terms and conditions, to the Project Manager for approval Participates in the development and maintenance of standard operating procedural manualsExercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to Versar’s Team Member Handbook and related policies and proceduresOther such activities as may be required by VGS to maintain compliance to project requirements

What You’ll Bring:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and negotiating contracts for large agencies in infrastructure asset maintenance or roadway construction strongly preferred.High School Diploma or equivalentProficient in basic mathematicsFamiliar with infrastructure maintenance management terms and is proficient in data entryProven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by VGS’ health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policiesStrong organizational and management skillsStrong interpersonal skills and communication techniquesExperience in contract administrationDemonstrated ability in: Preparing and/or reviewing payment applicationsProficient in Microsoft Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPointSelf-motivated and eager to learn Demonstrate ability to exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conductProven ability to adhere to VGS’ Team Member Handbook and related policies and proceduresThis hire will be contingent upon successful background checkThis role is subject to a client mandated drug/alcohol testing policy. As such, employee may be subject to random drug/alcohol tests. A copy of the client mandated drug/alcohol testing policy will be provided during employee onboarding and is available upon applicant requestThis role is also contingent upon a successful Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) screeningMust be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.Successful results of preemployment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen.Comply with company drug and alcohol policy.Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate’s start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associates or Bachelors’ degree in business or engineering, construction management or related field from an accredited institutionKnowledge of FDOT Standard PlansBilingual in Spanish

Compensation 

Expected Salary: $25/hr - $40/hr
