Job Description Summary:
The Director of Contracting is responsible for leading the entire contracting process from negotiation to execution with targeted accounts. This role is expected to be the lead negotiator with major National and Regional payers. The Contracting Director will also be responsible for managing relationships, strategy, and contracts with accounts in the defined area that manage fewer than 250K lives. The Contracting Director will coordinate directly with their Market Access, Contracting Performance, Sales, and Operations colleagues to ensure there are no barriers to access for patients. This role is also expected to lead the collaboration with Revenue Cycle Management to ensure billing requirements are contracted appropriately and timely resolutions are achieved with outstanding Accounts Receivable. This role has direct supervisory experience for Contract Managers.Job Description:
Job ResponsibilitiesLeads the Contracting Process and acts as Lead Negotiator for all Targeted Accounts within the defined area. This includes collaborating cross functionally with Market Access and Finance colleagues to develop, analyze and implement strategic account plans that maximize account profitability, collaborating with Finance to incorporate impact of strategies and pricing decisions into financial forecasts, and utilizing specific account knowledge and understanding of contractual terms and actual performance to assist Market Access partners in developing and enhancing account strategies, pricing, and contract language.
Develop the strategy for comprehensive, multi-year contracting to result in expanded coverage decisions and access to Option Care services from Accounts with less that 250K lives within the defined area, including potential forward progress in value-based initiatives and clinical effectiveness with payers.
Participate in the development and presentation of strategic business reviews at least quarterly with Key Accounts, including the development of the priority objectives (strategy), gathering marketing materials & data to support the priority objectives, and aligning how OCH objectives support the account’s objectives. Leads the development and presentation of strategic business reviews for accounts with <250K lives.
Ensures that Manager(s) and Analyst(s) supporting their assigned accounts understand the systems, operational processes and product pricing strategies for each respective customer segment to facilitate the development of effective proposals and contracts.
Leads the review and approval process for specific account proposals. Ensures account proposals, models and pricing are accurate and completed in accordance with defined service levels to meet internal and external customer timelines.
Develops proposals that comply with Divisional goals and objective as well as Corporate policies and procedures. Provides direction on the methodology and approach to evaluate proposals. Ensures that the analytical framework for proposal development is consistent with company standards and ensures that action-oriented data is available for decision makers.
Ensures that contract terms and conditions reflect pricing parameters of approved account proposals. Consults with legal as needed to draft specific contract language that meets business objectives.
Acts as the subject matter expert on departmental data, business metrics and operational processes

Basic Education and/or Experience RequirementsBachelor’s degree with at least five (5) years of experience in contract analysis and development and at least eight (8) years of experience in a combination of Contracting, Finance, Legal, Account Management, Pricing or Corporate Strategy with at least three (3) years’ experience in an account management role.
Basic QualificationsExperience evaluating information to determine compliance with standards, laws, and regulations.
Experience collaborating with internal and resources to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines.
Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.

Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Pay Range is $124,025.34-$206,723.61Benefits:
