Do you want to help create the Amazon devices that delight customers worldwide every day, like Echo, Fire TV, and Kindle? Amazon’s Devices & Services business is looking for a talented contract manager to support our rapidly evolving business.
You’ll work closely with engineering, business development, cybersecurity, and product teams on technology development and IP-related matters. You’ll draft, revise, and negotiate a range of agreements, including software licenses, services agreements, and work orders. You’ll be a central point of contact for the cross-functional teams developing Amazon devices and help them address their legal needs.
The position will require guiding technology development clients to the right engagement structure, spotting and solving contractual issues, managing a contracts database, and developing simplifications to help the business scale.
You must have excellent written and oral communication as this position involves direct contact with business leaders, stakeholders, and external parties. Flexibility, strong organizational skills, and a self-starting work ethic are desired.
Basic Qualifications
• BA/BS required.
• 5+ years of contracts management, paralegal, or other comparable experience within a law firm or an in-house legal department, with responsibility for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating the legal terms of a broad range of commercial contracts.
• Experience working with MS Office including Excel, Powerpoint, and Sharepoint.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous in-house legal experience is a plus.
• Experience related to technology companies, especially consumer electronics manufacturers, is a plus.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing successfully to cross-functional teams.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Sound judgment, including in ambiguous situations.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $146,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
