Contracts Manager, Senior

AMERICAN SYSTEMS CORPORATION is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead a team of contracts professionals and oversee the management of the Business Units’ diverse portfolio of contracts made up of federal, commercial, and international customers and varied types (FFP, LOE, T&M, Cost Reimbursable).


As a Senior Contracts Manager, you will:
•    With your team, oversee the entire lifecycle of contracts, including proposal development/responses, drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing agreements with customers, suppliers, and partners.  You will be instrumental in negotiating terms, ensuring compliance, and maintaining records throughout the lifecycle of the contract.
•    Conduct risk analysis on potential contracts, identifying areas of possible risk and proposing mitigation strategies to management.  
•    Be the primary customer interface for all contractual activities from receiving and evaluating solicitations to closing out contracts during the post-performance period.
•    Negotiate agreements such as Subcontracts, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and Teaming Agreements.
•    Lead a team of driven, supportive and highly skilled professionals.
•    Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on contractual matters, ensuring timely review and approval.  You will ensure contract renewal, extension, termination, and negotiation processes are managed in a timely and accurate manner.

A week in the life of a Senior Contracts Manager:
•    Serve the primary liaison for contractual matters to the General Manager of the Company’s largest business unit.
•    Be self-motivated individual and consummate team player, able to work independently or together with others to solve problems, take the initiative and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment, providing guidance and routinely interacting with company management, program managers, procurement, project control, and other applicable support functions.  
•    Monitor company performance for conformance to contract terms and conditions.  Help ensure that all terms and conditions are understood and being met in accordance with legal requirements, customer specifications, and government regulations.  
•    Prepare and disseminate information to your management chain and throughout the company regarding contract status, compliance, awards, modification, deviation, negotiation, and termination.  
•    Prepare, negotiate, and execute pre-award documentation such as NDAs, teaming agreements, representations/certifications and lead strategic marketing alliance negotiations between company and outside sources.
