OnsiteAt Collins Aerospace, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Contracts Manager to join our Space Systems Contracts Team, where you will play a pivotal role in managing a high volume of contracts across various sectors, including both Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Space Station and Deep Space applications. This position offers a unique opportunity to negotiate and oversee U.S. Government (USG) direct contracts, particularly with NASA, as well as customer-facing subcontracts and commercial agreements. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple proposals and contracts concurrently while building strong, lasting relationships with internal teams and external customers.
As a Contracts Manager, you will have the chance to shape the success of our Space Systems business by negotiating, structuring, and administering contracts that establish critical business partnerships. Your work will directly influence our ability to meet customer needs and exceed their expectations, ensuring compliance with government regulations and company policies. With your expertise in FAR/DFARS, NASA contracts, and international agreements, you'll provide invaluable guidance and support to internal teams, while maintaining high standards of integrity and delivering exceptional service at every stage of the contract lifecycle.
What YOU Will Do:
Responsible for negotiating, structuring, and/or administrating contractual documents that establish business relationships with customers and/or partners. Works with sales, finance, functional teams, and legal department to structure contracts. Analyzes contracts to ensure compliance to company policy, government specifications and other requirements.Reviews high incoming volume of customer requests for quotes, identifies proposal/quotes requirements, reviews terms and conditions for acceptability and compliance with company policies and procedures, assists in proposal development as required and participates in securing required management approval for submittal of proposals to customers.Review contractual terms and conditions for their acceptability, assessing risk and impact to the proposal utilizing the Company resources including legal, operations, and pricing, as necessary. Provide alternate terms and conditions to customer.Maintaining contract documents and communication in multiple contract management systems.Operates in accordance with company policies and practices, and in compliance with accepted business ethics.Takes proper action to closeout contracts in accordance with applicable procedures at the conclusion of all activity.Assures the timely communication of contract information to appropriate persons and maintains complete and accurate contract files.Acts as principal interface with internal/external customers on contractual matters. Takes necessary action or coordinates action to resolve any contractual problems with the contract execution team in a timely manner.Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on new assignments.May provide guidance and coaching to fellow contracts group members.May require travel to an office or customer to support negotiations/meetings.What YOU Will Learn:

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contractQualifications We Prefer:
