Responsibilities Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for complex contracts with federal agencies and commercial entities, ensuring compliance with FAR, GSA regulations, and other applicable guidelines.Contract Administration: Oversee contract administration functions, including working closely with program and business teams on effective contract change management. Manage a variety of contract types, including GSA Schedules, IDIQs, BPA agreements, and task orders, and OTAs, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and contract terms and conditions.Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact between business units and legal teams, facilitating communication and ensuring both parties are aligned on contract terms and conditions. Coordinate with the Legal team to identify and document risk levels and preferred contract terms. Must be able to work effectively with all levels of Company employees and interface with customers in fast-paced environment.Compliance & Reporting: Oversight and management for the Company’s GSA Schedule, SAM.gov registrations as well as remaining current with government contracting legislative/regulatory changes and industry trends that may impact the Company and provide appropriate guidance. Prepare and deliver reports on contract status. Manage Small Business Subcontract Plan, Service Contract Labor Standards (SCLS) reporting, review and submittal of Reps and Certs, etc.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements within the contracting lifecycle. Lead initiatives to streamline contract processes and improve efficiency, compliance, and overall contract performance.Risk Management: Provide expert analysis to assess and mitigate risks related to contracts, ensuring that terms and conditions meet legal requirements and company policies that are aligned with strategic goals, engaging counsel within the Legal department as necessary and appropriate.Training & Support: Provide training and guidance to internal teams on contract management, contracting best practices, FAR, GSA requirements, and related policies.Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or a related field.Minimum of 10 years of prior related experience in federal contracting. Proven track record in negotiating complex contracts with federal agencies, vendors, and business partners.Experience in process improvement initiatives within the contract management lifecycle to drive business outcomes.Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including business leaders, legal teams, and external customers and vendors.Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to serve as a liaison between technical, business, and legal teams. Ability to influence stakeholders through presenting strong summary of risks and recommended mitigation plans.In-depth knowledge of federal procurement regulations, including FAR, DFARS, GSA and other FAR supplements.Ability to identify and resolve contractual issues and challenges effectively and efficiently.Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Advanced degree such as MBA or JD is desirable.NCMA professional certification, e.g. Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), or similar certification.Experience with commercial contracting in software services and products space.Familiarity with process automation tools for contract management.
