Datadog is seeking a skilled and adaptable Contracts Manager to join its growing Legal team. In this role, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a diverse range of vendor contracts. You will also contribute to driving process improvements and oversee the administrative functions of Datadog Legal’s buy-side commercial operations.

What You’ll Do:
Work closely with the Legal Team and serve as a primary contact and collaboration point for the Procurement team and other internal stakeholders across the business to support supplier and service provider agreements from intake through execution to end-of-life. Review, draft, and negotiate all types of buy-side contracts including leases and office operations contracts, professional services and consulting agreements, marketing documents, equipment purchase/rental and maintenance agreements, technology product and service agreements (including data security terms), and benefits agreements. Work collaboratively with business stakeholders and subject matter experts such as Product, Privacy, and Security to identify gaps between proposed contract terms and company business requirements and to balance and monitor vendor risk. Manage disputes and contract amendments with existing vendors. Respond to inquiries regarding terms in existing contracts and assist stakeholders in understanding contract provisions. Contribute to the development, improvement, and maintenance of appropriate contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and self-help resources. Work with the Legal Operations team to help support the Legal Department’s use of technology tools, including CLM and AI assisted reviews. Initiate and participate in various projects and identify opportunities to support department and company goals and requirements.Who You Are:
A contracts professional with at least 5 years of experience negotiating a broad range of agreements, with a working knowledge of data privacy and security issues related to technology, benefits, marketing, supplier and other agreements. Experience with real estate contracting and vendor dispute resolution is a plus though not required. Skilled at analyzing, explaining, and negotiating legal terms. A person who can identify and implement efficiency opportunities, such as self-service contracts and resources, training materials, playbooks, and related workflow processes and platform-based improvements. Organized, process-driven, and resourceful with an attention to detail. You have the desire to learn new things and an aptitude for/interest in technology. A strong written and verbal communicator, with excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to operate effectively across functions and in stressful situations. Able to work independently with little guidance, but also with an understanding of when matters need escalation within or outside of the Legal team. Flexible and eager to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines, with an attitude that no task is too big or too small.Datadog values people from all walks of life.
