The Contributor Marketing Manager brings community-building experience and enthusiasm for travel to this dynamic role, which focuses on identifying, casting, commissioning and collaborating with creators on social-first video content for Lonely Planet’s channels.
A thorough understanding of best-in-class creative and creators, social video, photo and copy is a must, along with an awareness of brand strategy and voice across both editorial and sponsored content. This is an exciting opportunity for travel enthusiasts to make a big impact on an industry leader and introduce it to new audiences, one insightful video at a time.
What You'll Do:
Identify, curate and source travel contributors, creators and influencers to create impactful storytelling moments around Lonely Planet products across print, digital and experiential business lines. Create social-first content, particularly short-form video, for Lonely Planet’s channels; comfortable managing and maintaining daily publishing across social. Work with Social Media Director and social team to ideate, develop and maintain social-first franchises that deliver against channel-specific KPIs and ladder up to overall brand strategy. Build out and manage scalable social contributor network across global destinations. Develop creative briefs and coach creators toward ideal content for Lonely Planet. Own and manage contributor marketing budget; negotiate terms of collaboration and establish contracts for partnership, alongside production manager. Work cross functionally with editorial and sponsored content teams to identify talent for content creation opportunities. Script and edit commissioned content, ensuring brand tone, voice and personality are consistent and elevated. Manage content timelines; review contributor content to align with brand standards, mission and values. Collaborate with Lonely Planet’s video team to scale and repackage content from other brand channels with an eye for social. Evangelize Lonely Planet in the creator marketplace. Identify relevant social and travel industry trends for in-the-moment content creation opportunities.What We're Looking For:
3-5+ years of social media and/or influencer management experience with an emphasis on concepting and editing short-form video across Instagram Reels, TikTok and/or YouTube Shorts A strong rolodex of industry contacts and the knowledge of client management A portfolio showcasing past work Experience building, managing and growing a creative contributor network Deep and applied knowledge of social industries and trends within the travel industry Thrives working in a collaborative, autonomous and agile environmentCompensation
New York City Compensation Range: $70,000 - $110,000 *Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.Additionally, the following benefits are provided by Red Ventures, subject to eligibility requirements.
