Control Account Manager

GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Control Account Manager (CAM) is responsible for managing cost, schedule, and technical performance for assigned control accounts within defense programs. The CAM will work closely with program managers, finance, contracts, and engineering to ensure projects meet DOD, DCMA, and FAR/DFARS requirements. The ideal candidate will have a background in project control accounting with experience managing Time & Materials (T&M), Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), and Cost-Plus (CPFF, CPIF, CPAF) defense contracts. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES With direction from the Director of Strategic Planning, the Control Account Manager will be responsible for the following tasks and functions: + Develop and maintain Earned Value (EV) reporting and train project teams on EVM principles + Assist in preparing for Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs) and DCMA surveillance audits + Establish work breakdown structures (WBS), control accounts, and performance measurement baselines + Manage cost, schedule, and technical performance for assigned control accounts + Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis reports (VARs) + Work with scheduling teams to ensure accurate integration of control accounts into the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) + Support proposals by developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and pricing strategies + Identify and mitigate cost, schedule, and technical risks while tracking opportunities for efficiency improvements REQUIREMENTS + Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, engineering or related field + 7+ years of experience in program finance, project controls, or defense contracting + Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and DOD contract requirements + Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to be the liaison between Program Management and Finance + Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and create reports + Completely trustworthy to protect and appropriately handle sensitive information + Highly professional and friendly demeanor in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders + Willingness to learn and support the development of a new EVMS framework + Ability to travel both domestic and international DESIRABLE + Prior experience in EVMS implementation or compliance with DCMA guidelines + Familiarity with Deltek Cobra, SAP, Costpoint, or forProject for cost tracking + Experience with DOD acquisition programs and FAR/DFARS regulation + Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar scheduling tools + PMP, EVP, or CDFM certification (or willingness to obtain) PERKS As a PLEXSYS employee, you can expect certain advantages; such as advancement based on performance, competitive wages, valuable benefits and a great working environment.
