Danfoss in Loves Park, IL seeks a Control Engineering Intern to support new product development for Summer 2025. The preferred candidates will be at junior standing or above.
Job Responsibilities Contribute to new product development as part of a Scrum team. Design, develop, debug, test, maintain, and deliver control engineering functionality. Work with: MATLAB, Simulink, C++, Azure DevOps, Git, and Python. Other duties as required. Must be pursuing a bachelor’s (B.S.) or master’s (M.S.) degree in Engineering with curriculum focus on Control Engineering courses. Knowledge of control engineering. Strong communication skills. Will be a junior or a senior bachelor level student during the fall semester. Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink. Basic knowledge of C and C++. Interested in learning about control of power conversions systems including motor control algorithms for industrial products.Preferred Skills
Knowledge of power electronics, electric machines, power systems, and embedded software development Knowledge regarding control of power conversion systems including motor control algorithms Knowledge of High-Performance AC motor drives Knowledge of various motor types, including Induction motor, Permanent magnet motor, and Synchronous Reluctance motor machines. Knowledge of Model Based Development and embedded code generation using MathWorks tools. Knowledge of Git, Python and DevOps. Strong analytical and technical skills. Compensation DataHIRING SALARY RANGE: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour. Base salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
