As a Control Management Associate within our dedicated team, you will be tasked with maintaining a sustainable and disciplined end-to-end control environment for our line of business. Your role will involve identifying and escalating issues promptly, as well as collaborating with the business to ensure these issues are resolved in a timely manner. You will assist in top-down risk analysis, real-time control issue detection, escalation, root cause analysis, and remediation. Furthermore, you will be responsible for establishing governance on centralized communications, risks & controls training & best practices, and various control initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders and support the line of business (LOB) aligned operations control manager (OCM) to evaluate and perform an end-to-end analysis of the business’s risk and control environment, identifying significant gaps and weaknesses and determining the root cause of control deficiencies through data analysis. Improve the risk profile of LOB through a proactive review framework and conduct process reviews. Implement a governance forum to provide progress updates and transparency on proactive reviews. Perform ongoing analysis of program-related data (e.g., KRI/KPI) by leveraging data analytics tools and AI/ML to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risks. Develop ad-hoc reports as requested to support business-related programs and strategies. Assist LOB OCM with the development of Risk & Control Self-Assessment mapping and documentation through participation in end-to-end process walkthroughs and deep dives with assigned business units. Identify manual processes within business operations that are suitable for automation. Leverage data analytics and AI to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of these processes and recommend automation solutions to enhance productivity and reduce operational risks.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

Require a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Possess 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry, with a background in controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, or compliance  Be self-motivated and resourceful, with the ability to manage a team in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. Interact and provide coaching to team members and partner with other senior stakeholders to support the business goals. Exhibit strong project management and communication skills across platforms, including emails, meeting facilitation, presentations, and documentation. Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
