Control Operator job description 

Bostik Limited is a world-leading manufacturer of adhesives, sealants, coatings, cement additives and waterproofing materials supplying into the transportation, industrial, construction and DIY/Consumer markets. 

We are looking for a Production Control Room Operator to join our small team in Dalton, Thirsk, North Yorkshire.  

You must have a positive, can-do attitude, with excellent communication skills as you will be a key member, ensuring the safe and smooth running of our production facility.  As a self-starter, you will be able to work individually as well as working with Production, Quality Control, Engineering and our Warehouse functions.  

Main Duties 

Operation of Scada software to maintain the efficient running of the production process. 

Monitoring of CCTV and PA system to coordinate site traffic and visitors.  

Liaising with tanker deliveries of raw materials and the use of the weighbridge. 

Checking and ordering bulk materials on a daily basis to ensure production is maintained. 

Operation of SAP to process production orders/stock adjustments/Printing labels/Printing of paperwork to supply the production teams with updated workflow.  

Stock checks on a daily/weekly basis for materials and finished goods. 

Keeping accurate records 

Liaising with the production planner to ensure all production is scheduled accordingly to meet customer demand. 

Liaising with operators and engineering to record faults and maintain a safe and reliable production facility. 

Key Skills 

Working as part of a team as well as working individually  

Working in a fast-paced environment  

Good communication skills with a confident manner  

Excellent Computer skills such a word and EXCEL 

Fault finding and an eye for detail. 

Health and safety conscious 

Good attention to detail. 

Successful applicants must be safety conscious, reliable and flexible. 

40 hours per week working Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm. 

Due to the rural location, applicants must have their own transport.
