Caterpillar Inc. seeks Control Sys Team Lead at its facility located at 2427 E Engine Dr, Chillicothe, IL 61523-9529.
Support Advanced Power Products in the delivery of electrification and energy systems solutions. Ensure the software and products that go into Caterpillar systems and machines are verified and validated to a high quality. Assess requirements and support FMEA development. Ensure alignment within the NPI process Track and ensure completion of mitigation activities from FMEAs or functional/ performance/ behavior analyses. Assist in the creation of validation plans and define acceptance criteria. Evaluate existing validations controls, standard test procedures and effective processes. Execute and/ or coordinate execution of product tests. Analyze test results and summarize conclusions. Document test conclusions with traceability. Track product development issues to completion. Communicate technical information to team members and other business units. Generate and present accurate reports for validation thoroughness, status, and results.
REQS: This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field plus 5 years of experience in an electronics controls field or related occupation.
In the alternative the employer will accept, a master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field plus 2 years of experience in an electronics controls field or related occupation.
Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) HIL operation; (2) Experience conducting FMEA's; (3) Test plan development; (4) Communication networks such as: J1939, CAN, or Ethernet; (5) Test automation; and (6) Instrumentations & data collection tools: Oscilliscope, Multimeter, Canalyzer, Canape. Travel: Up to 15% domestic & international travel. Telecommuting: 2 days/week.
Summary Pay Range:
$ 115,856.00 - $ 165,840.00
