Thermo King is hiring a Control Systems Engineering Manager to join our team as a leader of Controls Engineering Professionals! This team is responsible for overseeing design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the Control systems through the entire product lifecycle and is a key interface to global product line Engineering teams. Leveraging extensive product knowledge, the Control Systems team maximizes product value through design of the user experience and leading development of Controls specifications and feature/function definitions with a key focus on modularity and reusability. The team is also responsible for Controls work prioritization while effectively managing multiple concurrent programs to meet Quality, Delivery, and Cost targets for global refrigeration and mobile HVAC applications. The team uses agile development processes to manage their work. Control systems developed by this team will play a key role in driving progress in sustainability of our products and to help meet our company’s goals.
A successful candidate will be responsible for driving technology, architectural and other improvements in our product roadmap and development processes that will impact the broader organization. Additionally, the Control Systems Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing the team including recruiting new talent, mentoring team members, promoting their careers, as well as directly contributing to Control systems development alongside their team members.

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.10+ years’ experience in controls, electronics, systems engineering, or software engineering experience with at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.Knowledge of Systems Engineering and development of Control Systems designs (e.g. elicitation of stakeholder needs, decomposition of requirements, development of controls features/functions, specifications, test definitions, etc..).Understanding of Control system modeling and diagramming (state machines, use cases, UML/sysML, architectural decomposition, etc..).Experience with Azure DevOps and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools; HPE, Polarion preferred.Experience with the Agile Software development & Scrum processes.Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.Excellent project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.Technical problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to communicate to a variety of stakeholders. Knowledge in refrigeration, thermodynamics, compressors, engines or power electronics is a plus.Ability to travel up to 10% including international travel.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $120,000 – $175,000
Total compensation for this role will include a incentive plan.
