Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Understand, maintain and troubleshoot material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers, industrial networks such as Ethernet, Profibus, AS-I bus, motor control systems, servo drives, variable frequency drives, and electrical distribution systemsApply subject matter expertise in material handling and control systems to maximize performanceLead field controls personnel hiring and development initiativesDevelop program goals and own controls program standard work for networkProvide direction to Control Systems Engineers to accomplish goals and objectivesMentor and train Control Systems EngineersAlign controls training with organizational goalsUtilize network support resources for guidance and assistance, and provide assistance to peers as neededServe as liaison between Amazon AE Central Team and JLL field Controls teams to ensure controls program alignment with client and ensure execution of program standard workWork with Operations, Ops Engineering, Launch Teams, AE teams, and Safety to support MHE systems optimization and continuous improvement project implementationResponsible for pulling metrics, analyzing, and driving controls related performance metrics across all RME business linesDrive failure analysis and implement process improvements to avoid future incidentsCommunicate technical issues and project timelines with site leadership, operations and account leadershipUtilize data to deep-dive equipment trends and failure points to mitigate operational impactAct as the primary point of contact of escalation support for Controls Teams, during and after business hoursAbility to adapt to the everchanging work load which may come from Account leadership or the clientAppropriately escalate downtime situations to the client’s controls leadership for support to restore equipmentTravel up to 75%Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or other related engineering OR 5+ years of equivalent engineering and technology experience.Experience with electrical theory, robotics, controls components, automated equipmentKnowledge in programming software such as RSLogix5000, Studio5000, FT View, and other controls software platformsKnowledge of robotics work cells and its control systemsExperience in identifying, maintaining, troubleshooting, programming, and designing HMI and control network componentsSystems trainer or training experienceExperience in root cause analysis to drive operational excellence Experience with using operational metrics to drive business Experience identifying, maintaining, troubleshooting, and modifying motor controls including motor starters, variable frequency drives, DC drives, and standard electrical componentsIndustrial electrical hands-on experience and troubleshooting, including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24VDC systemsKnowledge or Warehouse Management System Software Concepts and messaging protocolsExperience interpreting, modifying, and developing mechanical and electrical drawings Experience identifying, maintaining, and utilizing SCADA systems and KPIsExcellent written, verbal and customer service skillsPreferred Qualifications
