We are looking for a Control Systems Specialist to join our Petrochemicals (CP) team in Port Arthur, TX.

As a Control Systems Specialist, you will support the various control systems (DCS, PLC, SIS etc.) at our Port Arthur, TX facility. Your main responsibility will be to maintain various control systems to perform as necessary to achieve safety, functionality, and financial obligations for the site. This includes assistance with the system migration and lifecycle process, maintenance/oversight of installed equipment, and the engineering/troubleshooting of control logic.

**As a Control Systems Specialist (Port Arthur, TX), you create chemistry by...**
+ Providing expertise as a resource in Foxboro I/A, Triconex, and networking/systems architecture.
+ Performing configuration, preventative maintenance, hardware/software support, and administration for DCS and PLC based control systems.
+ Developing and maintaining long-term control system migration plans for the plant with the Process Controls Manager, Engineers and Technicians.
+ Maintaining the operability of the site’s operator training simulator (OTS) via the virtual server and control system architecture.
+ Monitoring failures, assisting in initial hardware installations, maintaining contract tracking and communication, optimizing software version upgrades and addressing vendor liaison issues such as quick fixes for system problems.
+ Performing advanced control and graphic configuration on control systems and supporting capital projects in areas requiring interface to control systems.
+ Participating in alarm management efforts, graphical design enhancements, and SIS testing assistance.
**If you...**
+ Have an education in Chemical, Electrical or Computer/Instrument Engineering, Computer Networking/Systems Architecture, Electronics, or Instrumentation.
+ Hold familiarity of working in a chemical manufacturing environment.
+ Have interpersonal and communications skills, and experience collaborating with different stakeholders.
+ Possess the ability to read and update electrical and instrument documents such as schematics, specifications, P&IDs, and one-line diagrams.
+ Hold an extensive amount of computer skills including systems configuration and networking troubleshooting.
