Description Peter Danielson with Robert Half is recruiting for an exciting opportunity in the manufacturing industry based SW of Portland, for the role of a Controller. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing core accounting functions, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining financial security. Please send resumes to Peter.Danielson@roberthalf.c0m Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage core accounting functions, including but not limited to Payroll, A/P, A/R, Fixed Assets, General Accounting, and Cost Accounting. • Uphold accurate accounting in compliance with GAAP and on an accrual basis. • Implement and enforce procedures for accurate reporting, efficient operations, and safeguarding company assets, emphasizing adequate separation of duties. • Regularly review the General Ledger and carry out quarterly accrual adjustments to ensure the provision of meaningful financial insights. • Supervise periodic physical inventories to ensure accuracy and protection of assets. • Secure and manage cost accounting services to maintain reasonable material and labor standards. • Compile and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing budget and prior year comparisons. • Guide the annual budgeting process in alignment with board goals and timelines. • Oversee banking relationships and ensure the establishment of financial security. Requirements • Proven expertise in Budget Processes, with the ability to develop, implement, and monitor complex financial plans. • Comprehensive understanding and practical application of US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). • Proficiency in Financial Statement Preparation, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. • Experience in a Manufacturing environment, with knowledge of industry-specific financial practices and regulations. • Demonstrated ability in executing Month End Close processes efficiently and accurately.
