Description We are looking for a dedicated Controller to join our team in Clifton Park, New York. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position within a small company, offering a welcoming and collaborative work environment. The role involves close collaboration with the current Controller, with the opportunity to gradually transition into a leadership seat overseeing financial operations. Responsibilities: • Oversee month-end closing processes and prepare accurate financial statements. • Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals to ensure compliance and accuracy. • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing. • Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to support financial health. • Develop and maintain budgets, providing analyses to support decision-making. • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies. • Work closely with a small team to support day-to-day financial operations. • Gradually take on leadership responsibilities to transition into overseeing broader financial management. • Utilize Solomon accounting software to manage financial data and reporting. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting and financial management, preferably in a small business environment. • Expertise in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. • Hands-on experience with month-end close processes and bank reconciliations. • Familiarity with auditing practices and working with external tax firms. • Strong knowledge of budgeting and financial analysis. • Proficiency in Solomon accounting software or similar systems. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work fully onsite during standard business hours in Clifton Park, New York.
