Job Description:

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Primary responsibility for assuring all financial transactions complies with GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley and all other required financial accounting standards.Direct management of accounting and finance activities throughout business unit.In conjunction with ITW Group or Division Controllers, may develop and administer Company accounting policies and procedures as they apply to the specific business.Coordinate the annual physical inventory.Review standard cost development, internal control compliance, variance analysis, inventory accounting, expense control and employee training and development.Work closely with IT in developing and maintaining the appropriate systems required to run the business.Provide monthly reporting, monitoring and analysis of all inventories and inventory reserves.Coordinate the annual unit costing process and provide Management with analysis of ongoing cost changes.Preparation of monthly financial reports and related value-added analysis schedules.Preparation of Long-Range Plan, Annual Operating Plan, and monthly current Outlooks.Presentation of monthly financial results to Division Controller, VP/GM and ITW Group Controller.Special analysis to highlight areas for business improvement as directed by the Division Controller, VP/GM and ITW Group Controller.Supervise business unit's financial and accounting functions including but not limited to cost, general, sales, and plant accounting.Understand and utilize the ITW toolbox in all aspects of the job including prioritizing work assignments and developing work processesSkills / Abilities:Proven problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skillsProven leadership skillsProficient knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.Results focusedGood people management skillsExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office applications, with exceptional Excel skillsAttention to detailAbility to use spreadsheets, databases and other IT programs

Education/Experience:

5-10 years of similar or related experience, preferably in manufacturingBachelor’s degree in finance or accountingKnowledge of personal computer systems such as Microsoft applications such as Excel and integrated financial/MRP programs required.CPA or CMA preferred

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

Travel less than 25% of the timeAbility Lifting up to 25 lbsOffice Environment

Compensation Information:

Exempt Position: $120,000 - $135,000 + Annual Incentive Bonus Opportunity
