Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our client's team on a contract basis in Washougal, Washington. In this role, you will oversee critical financial functions, including tax reporting, financial analysis, and compliance with regulations. Responsibilities: • Oversee financial reporting and analysis to provide clear and accurate insights into the company's financial health. • Prepare and manage tax reporting to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial statement preparation. • Develop and analyze pro formas, financial projections, and cost estimates for proposals and bids. • Collaborate with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) teams to streamline daily operations. • Maintain compliance with regulations specific to the company's two divisions, including space and defense. • Provide guidance and mentorship to the staff accountant to enhance team performance. • Implement best practices for financial management and reporting across the organization. Requirements • Proven experience in financial reporting, analysis, and tax preparation. • Proficiency in month-end close processes and financial statement preparation. • Strong knowledge of accounting systems such as SAP. • Expertise in creating pro formas and financial projections for proposals and bids. • Ability to navigate regulatory requirements specific to industries such as space and defense. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams.
