Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Controller to oversee key accounting operations for a dynamic gaming company based in Alpharetta, Georgia. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to manage financial processes and ensure compliance with industry standards while contributing to the company's growth. The ideal candidate will have expertise in accounting principles and a proven ability to navigate complex financial systems. Responsibilities: • Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions. • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to support accurate financial reporting. • Lead month-end close activities, ensuring all entries are completed and reconciled. • Prepare comprehensive financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders. • Manage payroll operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and timely processing. • Collaborate on audits and tax credit filings to ensure compliance and optimize financial benefits. • Utilize Sage Intacct software to streamline accounting operations and improve efficiency. • Analyze financial data to identify trends and support strategic decision-making. • Ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures, maintaining internal controls. • Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance overall financial operations. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting roles, preferably as a Staff Accountant or Senior Staff Accountant. • Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger management. • Proficiency in month-end close procedures and financial statement preparation. • Familiarity with payroll systems and regulatory compliance. • Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. • Background in audits and tax credit filings is highly desirable. • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights. • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
