Position Summary:

Under the general direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller is responsible for directing, coordinating and planning the activities of the accounting department.  Works with other hospital management to define goals and objectives as well as priorities for meeting financial goals of Center.  Ensures accurate and timely processing of all accounting reports internal and external.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:  Bachelor of Science or Associate of Applied Sciences in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and Finance. Experience:  Requires two to four years of healthcare accounting experience.  Experience with the hardware and software used by the hospital desirable.  PC knowledge a must. Knowledge and Skills:  Must be able to plan, manage and possess the technical and professional skills of system/procedures analysis, programming and hardware capabilities.  Must possess a high level of problem solving skills, as well as the ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of management, both inside and outside the organization.
