Our client is a growing finance company in the Waterloo area. They are seeking a Controller as head of the Company\u2019s accounting function, responsible for accounting operations, trust account management, and controllership for the firm. \r\n

Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Finance, the Controller will play a key role maintaining the financial health and integrity of the company while working closely with the Vice President and the rest of the finance team to advance strategic initiatives for the department and business. This is a dynamic, challenging, and visible role that will grow in scope and responsibility over time. The incumbent must posses a strong technical foundation (trust accounting, financial statement preparation, financial analysis, control frameworks), be organized, and comfortable overseeing all banking and reconciliation activity within the Company\u2019s trust account. The incumbent is comfortable problem solving independently and collaborating with other teams or departments within the Company. A team of Accounting Analysts will report to the Controller. Familiarity with enterprise-grade accounting software is required.\r\n
