Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in the manufacturing industry, specifically valve manufacturing. Located in Brecksville, Ohio, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in our operations, collaborating with plant managers and leveraging their expertise in forecasting, budgeting, and operations accounting. This role will involve leadership responsibilities and a strong reliance on MS Excel and ERP systems. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with operations and plant managers to ensure efficient workflow and target achievement. • Drive forecasting efforts to facilitate informed decision-making and strategic planning. • Oversee budgeting processes, making sure all financial plans align with the company's goals. • Utilize MS Excel for data analysis, financial modeling, and report generation. • Operate ERP systems, specifically Baan, to manage accounting functions and financial data. • Lead the operations accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance. • Employ leadership skills to manage and motivate the finance team. • Use accounting software systems to streamline financial processes and enhance productivity. • Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely transactions and accurate record-keeping. • Conduct regular auditing to ensure the accuracy of financial data and adherence to financial regulations. Requirements • Proficiency in 3M and CRM systems • Extensive experience with Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services • Ability to generate and interpret Crystal Reports • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Knowledge in Auditing procedures and standards • Familiarity with Budget Processes • Ability to manage, analyze and report on financial data • Strong leadership skills with the ability to oversee and coordinate financial operations • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail in all areas of work • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field • Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is desirable • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a senior financial position.
