Description
New in The Woodlands! Our client, a small, privately held company is looking to hire a full-time Controller to join their team on a permanent basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our clients’ financial operations, from overseeing accounting operations and financial planning and analysis needs to office management single handedly and reporting to the President of the company.
Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Develop, monitor, and analyze budgets to guide decision-making and ensure financial stability
Collaborate with department heads to create accurate forecasts and identify areas for cost savings and revenue growth
Generate and present timely and accurate financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
Collaborate with the President to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with overall business goals
Oversee the human resources activities for the company.
Oversee the company’s office needs and shipping and receiving activities.
Qualifications
Degree in Accounting or Finance
10+ yrs experience of accounting and finance experience with 5 yrs experience as a Controller
Solid MS Excel ability
Must have experience with QuickBooks – open to all platforms.

Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a Controller role or similar financial management position
• A university degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required
• Proficiency in Financial Statement Preparation is essential
• Experience with Quickbooks Premier is necessary
• Demonstrate proven expertise in Budgeting and Forecasting
• Excellent analytical, strategic planning and execution skills
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• High ethical standards and professionalism, especially in handling and securing confidential information
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
