Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in Cypress, Texas, 77433, United States. As a Controller, you will be involved in various financial and accounting functions, including general ledger management, financial reporting, payroll processing, and sales tax reporting. You will have the opportunity to interact with external consultants and manage relationships with banks. Responsibilities: • Oversee the management of general ledger and financial reporting for multiple entities on a monthly basis • Supervise accounting clerks and administrative personnel, ensuring effective performance and adherence to company policies • Handle payroll processing and payroll tax reporting, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations • Manage multi-state sales tax reporting, ensuring accurate and timely completion • Analyze annual property tax reporting, identifying trends and providing insights • Manage cash flows and invest excess funds to maximize returns • Oversee the handling of human resource functions, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations • Participate in insurance renewals and coverage negotiations, ensuring optimal terms and conditions • Coordinate with outside CPA firm for financial and tax reporting, ensuring accurate and timely completion For immediate consideration, email Mark, mark.loiacano@roberthalf.c0m Requirements • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or closely related field, Master's degree preferred. • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required. • Proven experience in a similar role as a Controller or in a related financial leadership role. • Profound knowledge of all accounting functions and related internal controls, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting. • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and government regulations. • Proficiency in using accounting software and other related business software, like ERP systems. • Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills. • Strong leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
