Job Title: ControllerJob Description Manage all aspects of Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Payroll. Play a key role in the month-end close process including posting journal entries and completing bank reconciliations. Issue financial statements and corporate annual reports, make recommendations based on company performance, and create financial and operating metrics. Manage the annual budget and forecasts, perform variance analysis, and analyze capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations. Provide information to external auditors annually and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting and tax filings. Manage all aspects of lease and fixed asset accounting, and implement and enforce policies and procedures in accordance with US GAAP. Maintain an efficient accounting department organization necessary to achieve department goals and objectives, and oversee all accounting functions for multiple subsidiaries. Essential Skills + General ledger + Reconciliation + Finance + Month-end close + Financial reporting + Forecasting + Financial statement preparation + Reporting + Budgeting + Accounts payable + Financial analysis + Journal entry + Balance sheet + Accounting + Variance analysis + Fixed asset accounting + 7-10+ years of experience in progressive accounting roles + Experience managing 3+ direct reports + Experience as a controller + Experience with companies having $100M+ revenue + Oversee an AP department processing minimum 5,000 invoices/month + Public company (SOX) experience + Familiarity with Lease Accounting + Experience with Tier 1 or 2 ERP (Oracle or NetSuite) + Accounts receivable + Budget management + Analysis + Financial management + Bank reconciliation + Payroll + Accrual Additional Skills & Qualifications + Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, report creation, macros) + Experience with multi-entity/unit organizations, ideally in retail + Experience producing individual P&Ls for each store, entity, and consolidated reporting for the parent company + Understanding of lease accounting and fixed assets processes Work Environment Overall casual environment, laid back.
