Description Lana Funkhouser with Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in Boise, Idaho, United States. As a Controller, you will play a crucial role in maximizing the return on financial assets, establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate and timely recording of all transactions, safeguarding assets, and providing critical information to support various departments. No relocation permitted. Responsibilities: • Establishing and maintaining financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems to maximize the return on financial assets. • Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. • Implementing internal audits, controls, and checks across all departments to safeguard assets and ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions. • Providing financial analysis tools to evaluate company ventures, special projects, programs, capital expenditures, and product costing as needed. • Liaising with outside audit firms, banks and lessors, casualty/liability insurance agents, credit card companies, and collection agencies. • Supervising Accounting staff, including Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and others as assigned. • Conducting monthly closing of all General Ledger activity and preparing detailed reconciliations of all bank and balance sheet accounts. • Reviewing accounts payable invoices and payroll documents for validity, accuracy, required signatures, and proper General Ledger coding prior to approval. • Overseeing customer invoicing, ensuring contractual values reflect annual escalators. • Processing external monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory filings, and participating in budgeting/forecasting processes. • Monitoring key financial and operational controls and providing audit support for corporate finance and external/internal audit teams. • Researching and monitoring accounting developments and technical accounting issues that affect the company.
