Job Title: ControllerJob Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will handle daily accounting tasks, lead the office to provide structure, and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting. This role requires a well-rounded Accountant/Controller with strong knowledge in financial reporting, reconciliation, and general ledger management. Responsibilities + Perform monthly account reconciliations. + Handle daily Accounts Receivable and bank reconciliation. + Prepare Month End Journal Entries. + Conduct monthly Inventory Reconciliation. + Produce monthly and quarterly financial statements. + Oversee all Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable processes. + Manage the collection of Aged Receivables. + Review all payable invoices for accuracy before being entered into Sage. + Create weekly forecasts of Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables. + Create and assign job numbers to all projects, prepare invoices, and track all milestone invoices and payments. + Prepare emergency cost write-ups for the Field Service Manager to review before creating invoices for emergency jobs. Essential Skills + Strong accounting knowledge, including General Ledger, Purchase Orders, Accounts Payable, and Financial Statements. + Proficiency in financial reporting and cost accounting. + Experience in budgeting. + Strong computer skills, specifically in Excel and QuickBooks. + Ability to ensure day-to-day accounting is handled effectively and lead the office to provide structure. + CPA is nice to have, but not required. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Ability to show financial statements and health over the past quarters. + Well-rounded Accountant/Controller. Work Environment The work environment is flexible and relaxed, ideal for someone who truly enjoys accounting and wants to work for a smaller company. The office consists of 5 individuals: an office manager, 2 project assistants, a general admin, and another accountant. You will be part of a close-knit team working together to achieve the company's financial goals.
