Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Controller to manage and oversee our accounting operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining general ledger accounts, and performing monthly account reconciliations. This role requires a well-rounded accountant/controller who enjoys working in a flexible and relaxed work environment.
ResponsibilitiesPerform monthly account reconciliationsHandle daily Accounts Receivable and bank reconciliationPrepare and post Month End Journal EntriesConduct monthly inventory reconciliationProduce monthly and quarterly financial statementsOversee all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processesCollect aged receivablesReview all payable invoices for accuracy before entryCreate weekly forecasts for Accounts Payables and Accounts ReceivablesAssign job numbers to all projects and prepare invoicesTrack all milestone invoices and paymentsPrepare emergency cost write-ups for review by the Field Service Manager prior to creating invoices for emergency jobsEssential SkillsProficiency in general ledger accountingExperience with Accounts Payable and Accounts ReceivableStrong knowledge of financial statements and financial reportingExpertise in cost accounting and budgetingAbility to perform reconciliations and handle month-end journal entriesStrong computer skills, including Excel and QuickBooksExcellent financial reporting skillsAbility to lead and provide structure in the officeAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with purchase ordersStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesAttention to detail and accuracyWork Environment
You will be working in a small office environment with a team of 5 individuals, including an office manager, 2 project assistants, a general admin, and another accountant. The work environment is flexible and relaxed, ideal for someone who truly enjoys accounting and prefers working in a smaller company.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $44.00
