Job Description

Responsible for the accounting operations of the company including the production of financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, establishing budgets, approving expenditures, and providing guidance to ensure the financial solvency of the company. The role should have a continuous improvement (CI) mindset and help drive a CI culture throughout the organization.

ResponsibilitiesOversee the accounting operations of the company.Produce financial reports and ensure their accuracy.Maintain and organize accounting records.Establish and monitor budgets.Approve expenditures and ensure they are within budget.Provide guidance to ensure the financial solvency of the company.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and promote a CI culture.Collaborate with General Managers of four divisions.Assist in the implementation of SAP S/4HANA Public for improved reporting and analysis.Essential SkillsMinimum of 5 years of experience in a controller role in a manufacturing environment.Experience in a $200-300M revenue environment.Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.Proficiency in cost accounting and project accounting.Experience with monthly financial reporting.Knowledge of revenue recognition and month-end processes.Experience with SAP S/4HANA is highly preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with percentage of completion revenue recognition (ASC 606 or IFRS 15) highly preferred.Master's Degree and/or CPA certification preferred.Work Environment

This is a full-time on-site role with first shift hours. The position includes three direct reports - an Assistant Controller, an Accounting Manager, and a Cost Accountant. Indirect reports include two Staff Accountants, two AP Clerks, and two AR Clerks. The company operates rather independently, despite being owned by a parent company in Japan. The four divisions operate individually, with centralized reporting. Revenue can range between $400M-$500M. The role will work closely with experienced and cooperative General Managers of each division. The company values work/life balance and does not expect excessive work hours. The work environment fosters long-term tenure, especially within the accounting and finance departments.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $160000.00 - $180000.00
