Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Controller to manage and oversee our accounting operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining general ledger accounts, and performing monthly account reconciliations. This role requires a well-rounded accountant/controller who enjoys working in a flexible and relaxed work environment. Responsibilities: + Perform monthly account reconciliations + Handle daily Accounts Receivable and bank reconciliation + Prepare and post Month End Journal Entries + Conduct monthly inventory reconciliation + Produce monthly and quarterly financial statements + Oversee all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes + Collect aged receivables + Review all payable invoices for accuracy before entry + Create weekly forecasts for Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables + Assign job numbers to all projects and prepare invoices + Track all milestone invoices and payments + Prepare emergency cost write-ups for review by the Field Service Manager prior to creating invoices for emergency jobs Qualifications: + Proficiency in general ledger accounting + Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable + Strong knowledge of financial statements and financial reporting + Expertise in cost accounting and budgeting + Ability to perform reconciliations and handle month-end journal entries + Strong computer skills, including Excel and QuickBooks + Excellent financial reporting skills + Ability to lead and provide structure in the office Work Environment: You will be working in a small office environment with a team of 5 individuals, including an office manager, 2 project assistants, a general admin, and another accountant. The work environment is flexible and relaxed, ideal for someone who truly enjoys accounting and prefers working in a smaller company. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $44.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
