This position requires a highly skilled and experienced Controller to lead and manage our accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have significant managerial experience and a strong background in corporate finance, ideally from a large company with over $100M in revenue. Responsibilities + Lead shared services accounting functions including cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. + Collaborate with the Global Finance Team to ensure proper accounting treatment. + Oversee day-to-day cost accounting operations ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness in financial transactions. + Implement process improvements and efficiencies in accounting workflows. + Oversee the preparation, review, and distribution of timely and accurate financial statements compliant with GAAP. + Analyze and report financial performance metrics and KPIs to senior management. + Lead the preparation of monthly and year-end financial statements and liaise with external auditors. + Collaborate with the Director of Finance on the annual budgeting process. + Monitor budget variances and provide detailed explanations for discrepancies. + Utilize advanced forecasting techniques for financial trend analysis. + Design, implement, and maintain robust internal controls. + Conduct comprehensive audits of financial operations and recommend enhancements. + Provide mentorship, leadership, and professional development for accounting staff. + Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews. + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory laws. + Partner with external tax partners on all U.S. filings. + Study and interpret accounting regulations and advise management on compliance. + Collaborate with key stakeholders in strategic planning initiatives. + Contribute to the development of financial policies and strategies. + Assess and recommend accounting software options to optimize financial reporting capabilities. + Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements in accounting and finance. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field. + Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience in a managerial or leadership role. + In-depth knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS), tax regulations, and financial auditing practices. + Expertise in financial management including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. + Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities. + Strong attention to detail and ability to convey complex financial information clearly. + Proven leadership qualities with experience in team building, motivation, and conflict resolution. + Experience managing a team, with direct management of at least 2 people. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $175000.00 15% bonus based on performance annuallyhealth and 401K I can get upon request along with PTO and sick times.
