Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to manage all financial aspects of our construction projects. This role involves budgeting, cost control, financial reporting, and ensuring projects are completed within the allocated budget by closely monitoring expenses and identifying potential cost overruns. ResponsibilitiesManage all financial aspects of construction projects.Develop and oversee budgeting processes.Implement and maintain cost control measures.Prepare and present financial reports.Monitor expenses and identify potential cost overruns.Ensure projects are completed within the allocated budget.Oversee a team of 5 financial professionals.Assist the CFO by reducing her workload and enabling her to focus on strategic tasks.Essential Skills5+ years of experience as a Senior Accountant or higher.1+ years of cost accounting experience, particularly with inventory.1+ years of experience in the construction industry.Expert level proficiency in Excel, including creating pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, coding, creating formulas, using POWER QUERY, and macros.Strong cost accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting skills.Proficient in general ledger reconciliation, month-end closing, and financial statement preparation.Proven management skills with experience overseeing a team of at least 5 people.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Work Environment
The Controller will be responsible for managing a team of 5 and running the entire financial department. This role allows the CFO to reduce her workload and focus more on strategic initiatives. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $120000.00
