Description
Robert Half Talent Solutions is seeking a Controller for a leading organization in the Hazleton, Pennsylvania area. This role centers on maintaining the financial health and operational efficiency of our industry. As a Controller, you will handle the full spectrum of financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and forecasting. You will also ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements and provide strategic financial guidance to support decision-making.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage all aspects of financial operations, from accounting to budgeting and forecasting
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls to protect company assets and reduce risks
• Utilize ERP systems and financial software to enhance processes and improve reporting capabilities
• Foster a culture of accountability and continuous learning within the finance and accounting team
• Provide strategic financial advice to executive leadership, supporting informed decision-making
• Partner with operational teams to enhance cost structures and increase financial performance
• Lead financial analyses to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory requirements
• Support talent development and succession planning within the department
• Manage and mentor the finance and accounting team.
Requirements
• Possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a Controller position or similar role
• Proficiency in using 3M and other relevant Accounting Software Systems
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experienced in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proven track record in Auditing procedures
• Well-versed in Budget Processes
• Ability to effectively manage and oversee all financial operations within the company
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus
