Description We are offering a hybrid contract to hire employment opportunity for a Controller in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Controller will be pivotal in the financial management of our non-profit organization. The individual will be tasked with overseeing accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting functions. In addition, they will ensure the organization's financial integrity is maintained by adhering to all regulatory requirements and established financial procedures. Responsibilities: • Oversee the comprehensive accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Manage budget processes and conduct regular forecasting • Ensure compliance with non-profit financial management regulations • Maintain the organization's financial integrity by adhering to established procedures • Manage relationships with external auditors and the finance committee • Oversee all audits to ensure accuracy and compliance • Handle grant accounting, administration, and management including government and foundation grants • Proficiently use financial software such as Quickbooks Online and QuickBooks for various tasks including general ledger and journal entries • Responsible for non-profit accounting and fund accounting Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a similar role as a Controller • Proficiency in performing all Accounting Functions • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Strong knowledge of Auditing procedures • Capable of managing Budget Processes effectively • Proficient in using Quickbooks Online and QuickBooks software • Familiarity with General Ledger and Journal Entries procedures • Experience with Month-end Journal Entries and Monthly Journal Entries • Familiarity with Government Grants, Foundation Grants, and Federal Grant • Strong knowledge of Grant Accounting, Grant Administration, and Grant Management • Experience in Non-profit Accounting • Proficient in Fund Accounting - Non-Profit • CPA is not required, but a plus Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
