Description Robert Half is recruiting for a strong Controller Consultant for a private equity back company specializing in construction services. The consultant will assist with external audit preparation of audit schedules. Also the consultant will be responsible for an efficient and accurate month-end close process. This includes balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring all subledgers and reports match the general ledger, preparing any adjusting journal entries and preparing financial reports. This opportunity will be located hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite in Ontario, CA. Skills: - CPA preferred to have - Public accounting experience (Big 4, or large regional firm) - Excel experience is required (VLookUps, Pivot Tables) -Experience working with external auditors ( must have) -Ability to communicate with all levels of management in a cross functional team environment Requirements • Minimum 5 years of experience in a controller or similar role • Proficiency in month-end close procedures • Strong skills in financial reporting • Experience in audit processes, specifically related to financial audits • Expertise in balance sheet reconciliation • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines • High attention to detail and accuracy • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred. -Audit experience Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
