SUMMARY
The Plant Controller is responsible for both the day-to-day
management of the Accounting
function of the site and being an integral member of the site leadership
team. The role involves supporting the day-to-day operations of the
company through solid value-added analysis and efficient tactical execution of
required tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage
the financial statement close process to timely and accurate completion
while ensuring conformity with company accounting policies, procedures,
and control requirements.
Manage
the reporting requirements on key KPI to both division and Corporate on a
timely and accurate basis. Supports Corporate Tax
team on annual tax requirements.
Prepare,
execute, and report the financial plans (e.g., Budgets, Forecasts, Cash
Flow) for the business.
Working
with site leadership to provide support through business analysis,
strategic oversight, identification of areas for improvement and
management of key projects, including product margin and customer margin
analysis.
Work
with Site Leadership to provide support through business analysis

Analyze,
review and Report metrics to determine the operational effectiveness of
our manufacturing operations, business processes and
profitability.
Key
reporting includes:
Direct labor efficiency and utilization – understand trends and profit impacts, work with operations to drive improvements.
Purchase price savings – understand market dynamics, work with supply chain to help drive sound purchasing decisions.
Support Make vs. Buy analysis.
Estimated cost builds for sales quotations – provide financial support to sales team to quote profitable projects accurately and quickly for the business.
Work
with operations to support capital planning and capital expense requests -
analysis of needs, timing of spending and post-implementation reviews of
the projects.
Identify
and lead process improvement projects to automate and streamline current
accounting and reporting procedures.
Drive
further ERP utilization and optimization to streamline key business
processes. Recommend and implement necessary changes.
Develop
and mentor finance staff. Build bench strength to support
organizational succession planning. Effective organization
planning and talent management/development.
Must have solid financial statement and cost accounting
background and be extremely comfortable working with ERP systems to improve
overall operating efficiency.
The pay scale for this position ranges from $150,000- $180,000 annually.
