Controller
Description We are seeking a Controller to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. As a Controller, you will be tasked with managing all aspects of our financial and accounting operations. Your key responsibilities will include maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll and taxes, overseeing accounts receivable and payable, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements. This role offers an exciting opportunity in the finance industry. Responsibilities: • Manage all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements. • Oversee the processing of payroll and bonuses for all companies. • Manage Freight Costs • Oversee processes in accounts receivable and payable, and settlements. • Maintain internal control and safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs, and actual expenditures. • Analyze financial data consistently and generate financial reports; present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including variance reporting. • Process year-end W2’s and 1099’s. • Leverage the strengths of the current finance team members, clarify roles and responsibilities, and develop and implement training to maximize individual and organizational goals. • Provide leadership to staff at all levels throughout the organization, fostering a positive and supportive work environment. • Utilize Accounting Software Systems and CRM to streamline accounting functions. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Controller • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems • Knowledge and experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems • Demonstrated skill in handling Accounting Functions effectively • Proven experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) • Expertise in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) • Strong understanding and experience with Auditing procedures and standards • Experience with Budget Processes, including planning, tracking, and reporting • Knowledge of Freight Costs and ability to manage them effectively Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
