Job Title: Controller Job Description We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager/Controller to join our Client based in Mississauga and involves overseeing 12 branch locations and managing 6 direct reports. The focus is heavily on month-end close processes, accounts receivable, and accounts payable teams. Additionally, you will be involved in budgeting and forecasting for the Canadian operations. Responsibilities + Prepare, Lead and Oversee month-end/quarter-end/ year-end close processes. + Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable teams. + Participate in budgeting and forecasting for operations. + Lead a team of 6 direct reports. + Ensure compliance with SOX, GAAP, and ASPE standards. + Utilize Great Plains and Oracle ERP systems. + Experience with consolidations ( ASPE to US GAAP ) Essential Skills + CPA Designation + Experience with ASPE, SOX, GAAP + 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience + Experience in a publicly traded company (US) + Proficiency in Great Plains and Oracle ERP + Strong written and spoken communication skills + Advanced Excel skills + Prior experience leading 4+ direct reports + Experience in budgeting and forecasting Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with PowerBI + Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders + Strong leadership skills + Exceptional communication skills for proactive messaging + Autonomous and independent work style + Solution-oriented mindset Work Environment This role reports directly to senior leadership and oversees approximately 6 direct reports. The work schedule includes 2 or 3 days in the office at the Client's Corporate office in Mississauga. There is a requirement to engage with external clients and customers for vendor management and invoicing.
