Description Colleen McAuliffe from Robert Half 408.906.0669 is looking for a Controller. the ideal candidate is a Senior Managers coming out of Big 4 for our publicly traded Semiconductor client. This role is based in Sunnyvale, California, United States. As a Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations in the semiconductor manufacturing and production environment. You will be responsible for financial planning, cost accounting, compliance, as well as maintaining optimal financial health of the operations. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage all aspects of financial operations within the semiconductor production environment • Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements and management reports • Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for semiconductor operations • Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies and industry-specific regulations • Oversee cost accounting procedures to accurately track manufacturing costs and operational expenses • Collaborate with operations teams to optimize production costs and reduce overhead • Develop long-term financial strategies to support business growth • Conduct market analyses to inform investment decisions and risk management strategies • Work closely with supply chain and procurement teams to manage cost-effective inventory levels • Monitor capital expenditures and ensure optimal resource allocation • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement • Oversee compliance with applicable financial and industry standards Requirements + CPA Certification required. + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred). + Big 4 Public Accounting experience is highly preferred. + Strong understanding and hands-on experience with US GAAP principles and SEC reporting requirements. + Proven ability to write detailed technical accounting memos to support financial reporting and decision-making needs. + Experience within a publicly traded company, preferably in the semiconductor or manufacturing sector. + Fluency in Mandarin (preferred) to support global business operations and communication with international teams. + Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
