Description Robert Half Contract Finance and Accounting is partnering with a rapidly growing organization in Truckee, CA to identify a Controller for a long-term contract/temporary opportunity. Our client is looking for a skilled Controller to lead critical financial operations and provide strategic insight during this period of expansion. This is a temporary/contract position with the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team and directly influence organizational success and is expected to last through the remainder of 2025. Responsibilities: • Lead the strategic planning process by ensuring the accuracy of financial forecasting and preparing financial statements. • Oversee the tracking and analysis of construction invoices and related costs for large-scale projects. • Direct and manage the process for upcoming audits across various entities, ensuring revenues align with the balance sheet and financial records are ready for auditing. • Review and oversee key account reconciliations to maintain accuracy and integrity across complex business structures. • Construct advanced spreadsheets and analytical models to uncover business insights, guide strategic decision-making, and identify trends. If interested, please apply today and for immediate consideration call Keisha White at 775-313-0454 Requirements + Extensive experience in financial management, including general accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation—preferably within construction or project-based sectors. + Strong technical accounting skills, particularly with balance sheet reconciliations and financial statement development. + Advanced proficiency in Excel, including creating models, utilizing pivot tables, and employing advanced formulas (e.g., VLOOKUP). + Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. + Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset. + CPA certification is strongly preferred but not required.
