What you will do in this role:
Directs and participates in the development of accounting and internal control policies and systems.Coordinates and controls the facility’s cash and investment management activitiesEnsures that accurate information is provided on a timely basis and assists, as needed, in facilitating the efficient conduct of external audits, examinations and related financial projectsEnsures that a monthly time schedule is established for the processing of computer reports necessary for the preparation of monthly financial statements; implements corrective action as necessary to meet established deadlinesPromotes good staffing practices by maximizing the utilization of human resources; forecasts and anticipates the personnel needs of the department with regard to fluctuations in the projected workload; holds staffing at a functional minimumOther duties as assignedQualificationsBachelors in Business, Healthcare Administration, Accounting, Finance or similar requiredPrior management experience preferredExcellent computer knowledgeAdvanced Excel userExcellent knowledge of accounting software packages and spreadsheets
Jefferson Regional Specialty Hospital provides inpatient rehabilitation services for adults who have experienced a loss of function or disability due to stroke, brain injury, spinal code injury, neurological disorders, orthopedic surgery and other conditions. Featuring all private rooms, the rehabilitation section of the hospital provides intense, interdisciplinary rehabilitation therapies and medical care to improve patients’ functional independence and help them return home. In addition, Jefferson Regional Specialty Hospital’s distinct behavioral unit will offer a continuum of inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services for adults and seniors, including crisis stabilization for acute mental health and substance use disorders; detoxification from alcohol and drugs; and treatment for anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and many other behavioral health illnesses.
