Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management: Oversee the financial books and records, ensuring timely and accurate month-end closing.

Account Reconciliation: Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Vehicle Contracting: Manage the purchase and sale of vehicles, handling all regulatory and contractual documents.

Team Leadership: Supervise and develop a team of accounting and store personnel, including Dealership Accountants, Specialists, and more.

Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with key dealership leaders, including the General Manager, to drive financial performance and maintain a robust control environment.

Operational Oversight: Conduct periodic reviews of operational income statements, GL activity, and balance sheet accounts to prevent fraud and ensure financial integrity.

Accounts Receivable: Ensure timely collection of receivables to minimize write-offs.

Bank Reconciliation: Oversee daily bank postings and review bank account reconciliations for discrepancies.

Payroll and Accounts Payable: Review and prepare payroll registers and accounts payable for accuracy and timeliness.

Inventory Management: Conduct physical inventory of vehicles and facilitate parts inventory reconciliation.

Fixed Assets Reporting: Assist in accurate reporting of the store’s fixed assets.

Title and Registration: Resolve issues related to the timely and accurate processing of vehicle titles and registrations.

Policy Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Business Results: Partner with the General Manager to enhance store efficiency and profitability.

Skills and Qualifications:

Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency

Excellent communication skills

Proficient in accounting processes and reconciliation

Ability to analyze financial results and offer solutions

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or 3+ years of dealership accounting experience (required)

Experience in driving business results through financial interpretation (required)

Leadership experience (preferred)

Auto industry experience (required)
