The Controller will oversee the Potelco and InfraSource accounting operations, manage financial activities, ensure compliance with regulations, while also providing financial analysis and accounting management support.
The base salary range for this role is: $140,000-$160,000
What You'll Do Financial Reporting: Maintain trial balance, prepare, and review journal entries, and account reconciliationsCompliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, federal rules and regulations and ensure compliance with GAAP. Oversee regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliancePolicy Creation: Develop and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controlsStaff Management: Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operations, which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payrollAudit Coordination: Oversee and coordinate internal and external audits and ensure the accuracy of recorded dataCommunication: Communicate financial information to management and foster cross functional collaborationProcess Improvement and Controls: refine accounting processes and develop efficiencies with appropriate internal control safeguardsOther duties and tasks, as assigned What You'll BringMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferredExcellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire othersHands-on financial management experienceProficiency in financial accounting software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)Experience with general ledger, monthly close cycle, account reconciliations, financial statements, accounts payable, and payrollIn-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP and financial reporting requirementsStrong analytical skills, attention to deadlines/details, and accuracyExperience implementing and maintaining internal controls and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirementsConstruction and/or job cost accounting experience preferredAdherence to tight deadlines and quick turnaround for accounting deliverablesMust pass a mandatory drug testEducation and Experience Qualifications:
