PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Organizationally located within Global Controlling, Business Area Controlling (BAC) paves the road for scalable controlling services and lays the foundation for true automation in the interest of the internal customers of controlling.   The service level is not individual – but also not one standard for everyone. It is tailored around the situation of a group of managers– and therefor deemed to be unbiased, highly transparent and the best practices get available for all managers served.   As a cross-board-area team, the BAC helps the managers served with high-value business partnering to steer their business towards SAPs objectives and at the same time provides the basis for the CCO teams to support the respective board member and the Board Area leadership team.  In your position as Controller you will join a global team and will be responsible for various business units all over the world. By this you will gain experience in international business controlling and get deep insight into SAP’s finance organization and processes interacting with senior leaders.

 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Business Unit Controlling Drive financial planning activities. Perform and coordinate month end closing activities, like accrual handling, cost accounting checks, cost allocations. Ensure transparency and compliance with financial guidelines. Be a business partner, work out key messages from in-depth analysis and recommend action items to the management. Support transformation and change in respective units to achieve the financial targets. Drive cross-unit activities, projects and special tasks in cooperation within the team and with key stakeholders outside the team.

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

University graduate (Bachelor/Master). Business Administration/Finance focus would be a plus. Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work under pressure and to cope with deadlines Self-managed working style with high customer orientation Ability and willingness to work in a virtual set up and fast paced environment Advanced knowledge in MS office applications (Excel/PowerPoint) Knowledge of SAP Controlling processes as well as SAP CO (ISP/BW) is a plus Fluent in English (written & verbal)

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

Ideally, the candidate has proven to successfully work in a global environment with peers, management and customers. More than 2 years of work experience in Controlling required.
