SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for directing and coordinating accounting functions and systems established to provide Tyson Poultry management timely and accurate information in regards to our Seguin facility. This position is responsible for providing accounting support to the Seguin Live Operations and Processing Plant. Responsibilities include: Live Accounting feed reconciliations, breeder and broiler inventory reconciliations, weekly pay, weekly and monthly live cost, serve as key contact for management team requiring data analysis and recommendations, capital review and management, self-audits of the location to ensure compliance, monthly live cost setting and review, quarterly financial projections, quarterly balance sheet recons and flux analysis, and annual budget projections. This role also is also responsible for all grower and vendor contract setup as well as a plant location to oversee. This position has other ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned. This position will work closely with management in operations and corporate accounting. 

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field required.

This position requires meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to meeting deadlines.

Experience: 6 plus years of accounting management experience.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of SAP and data base systems.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of team members; critical thinking skills.

Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising 4 team members.

Travel: 1-5 domestic trips per year.
