What You Can Expect

Controllership Organization focuses on technical finance accounting matters and internal controls and compliance, applies best practices within EMEA environment, drives alignment among business units to integrate governance and business practices across the enterprise. As part of Controllership organization, the Saudi CONTROLLER will be based in SAUDI ARABIA to drive alignment between business finance and GBS and ensuring compliance to Zimmer Biomet policies and procedures.
The CONTROLLER will be responsible for ensuring maintenance of internal controls within the local organizations (Saudi Arabia JV Selling entity, Saudi Arabia Branch Regional head quarter), update of polices, timely and accurate reporting of finance metrics, drive statutory & tax compliance and provide support in audit process and audit remediation issues.
 

How You'll Create Impact     Oversee local statutory and regulatory compliance for both entities, including:

o    Statutory audits & filing of local statutory reports 
o    Tax filing both Zakat and income
o    Regulatory compliance (statistic, national bank reporting, environment taxes, others)

    Oversee services provided by GBS (RTR, ITC, P2R), BPO (Business service outsourcing), external accounting providers, external tax advisors and partner to resolve the issues and support process improvements and standardization initiatives     Support Finance Director in preparing Joint venture agenda, meeting and minutes for proper record keeping and compliance     Support business model change in countries, partner in cross-functional business transformation projects, including OTC/ITC process transformation, transition of selected processes to GBS, external services optimization and necessary improvements.    Guiding GBS-teams in terms of finance, accounting audit and tax topics     Manage period end close process, working with GBS & BPO/SSC     Maintain local accounting records (if required by laws)    Coordinate vendor, customer and collection information    Coordinate with Treasury and Tax for local treasury/banking requirements, tax reporting, TP, custom audits, etc.    Serve as local accounting point of contact for in-country business finance professionals and other functional teams (e.g. Tax, Treasury, Marketing, Med Ed)     Supports Finance director and provides data necessary for deep dive reviews, actively participates in meetings with Business leaders, with specific focus on accounting framework, share and gain the good practice knowledge in order better to support Zimmer Biomet business.    Drives projects and develop tools to support Statutory compliance, account filings, VAT and Income tax matters    Work closely with Management to support SOX Controls, Risk assessments and remediation    Support GBS Management with the implementation of process enhancements and performance improvements.  Includes improving the quality and timing of recording transactions and clearing activities, leveraging systems to provide greater visibility of financial information and automating processes to reduce manual effort.      Managing small team including set up of goals, giving feedback, control of performance, coaching, development.
 What Makes You Stand Out     Very strong analytical skills and strong understanding of accounting principles,     Solid understanding of local GAAP, Revenue recognition standards and Compliance risk processes    Strong forward and process thinking skills and good understanding of system functionalities    Strong Communication skills (oral and written)    Exhibits a high level of attention to details.    Highly motivated, self-starter willing to deliver results and meet strict deadlines     Positive attitude, proactive and flexible.     Good organization skills and problem-solving skills.    Good interpersonal and collaboration skills    Ability to deal with competing priorities and projects and work under time pressure    Very strong skills with Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), particularly Excel required    Knowledge of information systems and their application to Finance    Strong experience in SAP, Zakat and income tax     Joint Venture experience and managing board meetings agenda    Managing small teamYour Background     B.S. in accounting, finance or related field.     Minimum of 7 years of experience required in finance or accounting.    Previous experience working in a Shared Services/GBS environment is a must.    CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent required is a must.    Must have a working knowledge of US GAAP and other local & regional accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, IASB) and support of business in few countries.    Previous experience working in SAP and Hyperion is a must    Prior experience in MNC and big 4 is a plusTravel Expectations
