The Director of Performance Controlling will support Siemens Healthineers North America (NAM) strategy by providing Management with financial insight and analytics to drive business decisions. Focus areas of the position are operating expense controlling, productivity controlling and the associated financial planning and analytic activities. This role reports to the VP of Siemens Healthineers NAM Performance Controlling and has people responsibility for a team of finance professionals.This is a hybrid position in our Malvern, PA office.
Your Role:
Oversee all operational expense related monthly and quarterly closing activities across NAM companies, ensure compliance to financial reporting guidelines and integrity of books & records.
Drive operating expense and headcount-related rolling FC and budget planning sessions, ensure critical milestones and deliverables are achieved, and support Management Business Reviews.
Controlling and monitoring of SG&A, perform SG&A bridge analysis and benchmarking, identify and drive opportunities for SG&A optimization.
Establish KPI’s and dashboards; collaborate with stakeholders in making conclusions on results and trends, advise the Management Team on risks and opportunities, as well as recommend actions.
Provide support to NAM CFO and leadership team on ad-hoc analysis and executive presentations.
Continuously improve financial planning & reporting processes and tools, develop advanced modelling on complex expense topics, drive initiatives and projects to improve transparency and efficiency.
Head of NAM Productivity Office, drive productivity idea generation, provide guidance on methodology, oversee productivity closing process and target-setting process.
Support various corporate initiatives and executive projects.
Manage and develop a team of finance professionals. Inspire, communicate & lead to attract and retain talent; provide leadership, cross-training, and coaching to develop team members.
Required Skills, Education and Experience for this position:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration or related discipline required. MBA is a plus.
Advanced analytical skills including the ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to draw conclusions and assist on decision making.
Demonstrated leadership experience, with proven track record in supervisory experience or equivalent cross functional project leadership.
Experience in business excellence and productivity controlling in a strong plus.
Ability to influence people and empower team members to be proactive and focused on partnerships and results.
Advanced communication skills to clearly present key issues and recommended actions.
Strong understanding of strategic business goals.
Ability to form relationships and collaborate across global matrixed functions.
Displays strategic thinking in identifying and developing automated solutions to increase productivity and efficiency.
Deep knowledge of systems and finance controlling required.
