Job Description


The Controlling Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the financial planning, analysis, and control processes within its area of responsibility. This role involves facility cost subject matter expert and leading a team of controllers ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving efficiency in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: lead and develop a team of controllers, dealing with governance functions of personnel, CAPEX and cost allocationsFostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.Financial Planning & Analysis: oversee the facility cost budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.Financial Reporting: ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.Cost Management: monitor and analyze cost structures, driving initiatives to optimize resource allocation and improve profitability.Business Partnering: collaborate with cross-functional teams to support decision-making and strategic planning.Supporting strategic decision-making: representing its area of responsibility up to the highest management levels of the organizationCompliance & Risk Management: ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

 

Background: MSc/BSc degree in Finance or EconomicsExperience: 3+ years of work experience in Finance/Controlling field or auditing - business partnership experience is an advantage. Strong background in finance or controlling processes mentioned above (personnel, CAPEX, facility and cost allocations), MS Office knowledge (focus on Excel and PowerPoint), SAP knowledge.Personality: Excellent communication and presentation skill, Strong analytical skills, high precision, and proficient communication. Independent working style, ability to take responsibility and make decisions in his/her field of expertise. Ability to drive process improvements and manage complex financial data.Languages: Fluency in written & spoken English, German knowledge is an advantage.
